Every bug owner always bragged about how easy it was to work on. And they knew it because they always worked on them.

You are correct Scotty. GM does not build a transmission worth a crap anymore. The old Turbo Hydramatic 350 and 400 transmissions were built tough, and when they wore out you could rebuild them with better clutch bands and parts than what came out of the factory and you are good to go. I had a 1978 Buick Electra Park Avenue that had 420, 000 miles on the 350/350 engine transmission pairing that was never rebuilt and it still ran great when I sold it for 100 dollars. What the heck has happened? Quality has gone down the shithouse completely.

My dad was a mechanic and told me to get a toyota. My dad also told me to stay the hell away from jeep but i never listen, now im here wishing id if listened. No issues .... yet lol MY dad was spot on and him and scotty are giving the exact advice. Rest in peace dad you would of loved this guy

When I had plenty of money I bought a Range Rover. I still have it and it is stunningly beautiful, but so are the bills I get every other few months. I did get 200, 000 miles out of her. Cost me $109, 000 back in 2006. My favorite all time car. I don't have the heart to part with her just yet. She still drives like a dream.
