I know people are going to debate the Challenger being classified as a sports car. Well it’s a muscle/sports car and it’s a competitor to the Corvette, which is a sports car.

Scotty: endless money pits

I’m a sales rep I drove a Pontiac solstice every summer for 4 years putting 100, 000 miles. It used the ecetec motor form the Colorado pick up (which Scotty said was a good motor) I never had a problem. The interior was cheap very cheap! However if anyone is looking for a poor man’s weekend rag top, definitely recommend.

If it were up to Scotty everyone would drive a Camry with 120hp.

I owned a Porsche Boxster for 10 years and the only thing that failed was the battery.

Scotty you potentially saved a year of my life. I was going to buy a used lambo...now I'll stick to my camry.

What I’ve learned from this channel: All non-Toyotas are money pits.

I wish I had bought an air cooled 911 ten years ago.

I LOVE my 2007 Saturn Sky 2.4 L, standard transmission. The friend I bought it from is older like me and did PMs like clock work. All highway miles and garaged. It is in almost perfect condition inside and out. I had a new water pump put on at around 99, 000 miles, ( not an issue) and had my mechanic replace anything he wanted, he put new timing chain tensioners on. He said the engine has at least 100 K trouble free miles left on her. Now days she is my toy up here in the twisties of The Ozarks! She handles like a dream and leaks/ burns zero oil between changes, ( I check it every time I fill up and average 29 MPG). I think the ones with the turbo are the problem child. I love your site Brother! Rev

So a quick look in the internet shows that 97.4% of Porsche 911 built in the last 25 years are still on the road. 70% of Porches ever built are still on the road.

I have to totally disagree with him on the Pontiac solstice. I bought a used GXP about 5 years ago and have driven the snot out of it with ZERO mechanical issues.

I beg to differ with the Solstice part.... I have a 2007 Solstice GXP and have no problems

I have a 2008 Pontiac Solstice. I bought it two and a half years ago with about 4, 500 miles and now has about 54, 000 miles. Yes, I drove that many miles. I can tell you my car has been super reliable. I was quite surprised he said it will fall apart because it has been trouble free for me.

Sports cars, I have owned a 240z, 260z, 280z, RX7, Miata, Miata Speed, 350z and three 370z's which I still drive one as a daily driver. The common denominator? All Japanese and I can tell you all were serviced regularly and none had any repairs beyond maintenance.

Well my 89 911 turbo with 120k on the clock is still running like the day I drove it out the showroom... I've spent less than 10k on it since new...in fact I've spent more on fuel..!

Scotty, you are the man! I thoroughly enjoy your videos as I am in my late 50s and you remind me so much of the people I grew up with. It's like watching an old friend. Have a great day!
