i always use desoldering pump first before solder wick

its a waste of soldering wick if you use it on large amount of lead

Desoldering pump can remove large amount of tin with no cost, while soldering wick only remove a little amount of tin with high cost.

If one feels the track is not wide and pcb is thin will damage with asolder sucker pump. I've come out with a simple idea of cutting a length of rubber tubing from old CRT Cap end where the red wire is inserted of EHT this acts as damper and doesn't burn also.
