The trick to keeping it clean is brass sponge, good quality soldering wire and a proper regulated temperature controlled soldering iron. Alot of the real cheap soldering iron suffer from this problem

Ese cautín es un asco de sucio, eso pasa cuando no cuidas tus herramientas, si limpias la punta del cautín después de usarla se mantiene, sea cuál sea la punta, igual ahí se ve gran parte del cuerpo del cautín quemado así que, no me sorprendería si cuando lo calentaste lo metiste al agua ahí nomás. Es más si dejas el cautín con un poquito de estaño en la punta, este protege al metal y se evita la degrades de la punta.
