Time to put the Channel on the don't recommend list ✔️

This isn’t soldering like a pro. This is for people that don’t know how to solder

I'd still prefer to solder first, then use heat shrink.

I bought a set of these, and at first, I thought they were going to work out, but I ended up throwing the lot of them away. I think these are waste of time, unless you're just a really lazy person who loves quick fixes with a white hot passion of a thousand suns.if you can get them to do you right, you know something I lost a care to.

Good luck finding such cool stuff in a regular electric material store in my country.

These are sealed, heat shrink connectors and that little ring on the center is actually low melt solder. You don't crimp these. The heat gun melts the solder ring and shrinks the sleeve.

They actually work very nice for small wires, but they are a bit tricky to learn just how much heat to apply. They are completely waterproof with the rings of sealant at the end of the sleeve.

Great for automotive work and in tough environments. There is a military spec for these. Not quite as quick as crimp sleeves, but arguably a better connection.

I did this exact thing, that's why I'm here now. Watching tutorials on soldering..

Didn’t see a pull test so no go for me. Gotta verify it’s a solid connection.

Bro that’s literally just heat shrink around a wire twisted together. NOT SOLDERING!

This is for people who don't know anything about soldering

Another channel like this admitted that they do know that what they're doing is wrong or misguided, that they are only doing it for clickbait.
He boast that all he did was buy $3 worth of wire and solder, and he earned $3000 in ad revenue for the clickbait short. That this is the job of a youtuber. He WELCOMES people who mock him in the comments because it promotes audience traffic.

Putting channels like this in "Don't recommend to me again" list is how you hurt this channel.

I've used those before. They never work worth a fuck. Solder is inconsistent and even with high heat they don't always melt. I'll take my 200 watt soldering gun and high heat solder. Leaded or bust.

I am an electrician and that is a bad connection. Just crimp it then heat shrink. That connection is bad

I usually put the soldering iron under the wire to heat the copper, use a lot of flux and dump the solder onto the hot copper

Nothing is more satisfying than getting a perfect wire to wire connection, really good solder, and finally heating the shrink to protect and insulate your wires.

i never solder before and even i know this isn’t a good idea

Is a bad method and isn't allowed in germany because it can to come off under tension.

For this work use a crimp connection with shrink-heat tubing or a cable coupler, if it's a moving part.

Those do work well. Good for farm equipment wire repairs.

Those are solder sleeves and they have been used in aerospace wiring for years
You don't need to twist the wires together just tin the wires and make sure they over lap and you will get a great connection. Good enough to go into space
