Or you could learn to solder properly. You’re supposed to heat the copper with the iron and apply the tin to the wire itself

MUCH SAFER WAY:
1. Heat copper wire for around 1-5 seconds
2. Grab your tin and directly apply to the copper wire
3. After the tin sticks perfectly, stop adding more tin
4. Keep heating the tin for around 2 seconds
5. After 2 seconds, stop heating the copper wire
6. Don't blow! Wait the tin to cool naturally
7. Perfect tin applied!

Stupidity. You need to clean the copper wire with a blade first (if it is dirty & dull) till it is shiny. Then twist the strands, dip it in good quality solder flux & then solder it with a good quality solder wire.
