In this video, Dr. Berg talks about the things will not break your fast. The ideal fasting process is by only consuming water but the important part is keeping the insulin levels low so if you consume something that would keep the insulin low, it is not going to interfere with the benefits of fasting.

Things that will NOT affect insulin:
1. Fiber (green salad)
2. Fat (MCT Oil, Butter, Coconut Oil, Whole Cream)
3. Tea / Coffee
4. Supplements
5. Green Powder

Dr. Berg I just have to tell u: YOU AND YOUR VIDEOS ARE SAVING MY LIFE!!! I’m 31, been overweight since I was child, developed HBP, PCOS, grew facial hair at age 14, was always tired and stiff! I found your channel last July. I was 310 pounds at that time. Today I’m 245 thanks to you and the knowledge u share. I’m off blood pressure meds, my fasting glucose has dropped. God bless you! While it is true that coffee and cream may not break a fast, I have found that it stimulates an appetite making it more difficult to continue fasting.

Doctor Jason Fung says that a little 'something' won't break your fast - including tea and coffee with cream. His position is that - while you're fasting, your insulin level is continuously falling and even if you give it a little nudge during your fast, it'll soon continue on its path of falling. He also added that it's better to have a couple of perks, rather than risk breaking the fast.
My take is that if I'm getting results, I just keep doing the same stuff.
