So many red flags in my home, visitors must think I am a communist!

I think some misunderstood the first point as everything needs to be a separate space.
It's just that you should have a corner for each of the stuff. Like you wouldn't want your bedroom to be between a living room and a kitchen (because noises and privacy reasons), or having a laundry room just randomly sitting in the living room (assuming you have space for a separate room of course).

Our house had so much unusable space due to being a poky old cottage added to over the decades. Every room has at least 2 doors, so two 'bedrooms' (one was the old kitchen) are used as hallways to move from the front to the back of the house. The living room is a wide hallway with 5 doors!

I disagree on the straight line between front and back door to outside- I prefer not to have it a see through sight line.

Hey! How much is a floor plan redesign? I’m looking to extend our property. Thank you 😊

My biggest red flag are ooen floor plans. That only works for one person living alone. After living in these for a long time I decided that I want a kitchen where I can close the door and forget the mess in it and I don't want any guest near my kitchen, thats my private space. Second one is when you have to leave the house through the living room. I want to be able to sneak out without explaining to my husbands friends. Houses these days give you no privacy. I bought an old house with an old floor plan and I love it.

Having the main door open into the living room is such a big red flag.

And having in mind the amount of space american houses have, I absolutly do not understand the idea behind it.

Should I put both bedrooms next to each other or separate them at different sides of the house for noise privacy?

Right? I always joke... they saved money on the architect! My biggest beef is when they put the laundry right off of the rear or garage entry. Try doing laundry around all of the muddy shoes, snowy boots, groceries and everything else that gets dropped in the back hall. 🙄 Why not put the laundry by the bedrooms and bathroom? You could still have a utility sink in the back hall for muddy shoes, paint brushes, gardening, florals, cleaning supplies, etc. Keep that mess away from my clean clothes! 😂

my home is a red flag zone of multiple past owners and their renovations.

So a studio is a red flag, as with most one bedroom apartments? And lofts? I don’t think public and utility need to be separated.

I guess "efficiencies" are automatically red flagged? There's not even that 3 zone categories this presenter mentions.

I love the part where she explained why these are red flags
