I was so so sick of doing tricep extensions BEFORE I saw this video. Doing it this way because more fun and I could see a growth in my tricep after just a week. Works like a charm. Thanks Scott!!!!

Thanks! This greatly improved the effectiveness of my tricep extension. Keeping the wrist straight and elbows tight was key. Knew I was doing something wrong!

My triceps are huge and I've never done this excersize. I mostly do cables/close grip bench/skullcrushers and dips. Those alone KILL but Im going to try to add this to my workout routine now that I see how it's properly done. Love your videos man!

Also don't forget to switch which hand you have on the dumbbell each time since the arm with the hand on the dumbbell does more of the work.
Don't wanna end up like Pop Eye now.

I've sort of given up on this exercise because I would always experience aches or pain on both elbow joints as my arms bends. I would like to try this again starting with a little less weight than 30lbs and see how my elbow joints react to it. This has been very informational, so thank you for showing us the proper Dumbbell Tricep Extension form.

This is the best tricep exercise for mass. Every time I do these, I get sore triceps for 2 or 3 days after the workout.
On the other hand, rope pushdowns don't do shit.

Great video and explanation Scott. I didn't bend my wrists and did a bit too much weight and got some shoulder/rotator cuff pain. Your video helped me fix my mistakes.
