Recently, I've started to think much more seriously about Mercs. I drove a W212 E220d when it was new and I hated it, then a W205 C200d which was even worse.

Now though, I do big motorway miles and I've always been a fan of luxury with tech. Lexus are still my brand of choice for that, but there's a huge range gap between the ES and LS where the GS should be, but that's a little dated now. The LC is great, but impractical.

Variations on the E Class though are exactly the right sort of thing for me - I'd prefer a C, but I'm an interior snob and those feel like a *huge* step down from my Pug in that regard. Not that I'm looking much yet, but the Merc idea is forming...I may or may not have wondered into my local dealer while getting tyres for the Pug this month!

Favourite Merc? CLK GTR all day. Favourite "normal" Merc is much tougher, but as I type this I'm thinking 300SL or W140, so W140 600 SEL just to be different!
