Don't buy a Mercedes without watching this video & see the whole story. I learned that these "amazing" cars can be more expensive than you could possibly imagine. Save yourself losing thousands of dollars by knowing what you are getting into BEFORE even thinking about buying a MERCEDES BENZ.

I always buy mine certified used, 2-3 years old. Half the cost of new, most of the kinks already worked out, and still have the outstanding Mercedes factory warranty service (plus they add a year extended warranty free of charge). You don't buy a Mercedes to save on the cost of gas or oil changes, you buy it because it meets your personal needs and lifestyle.

Loved my E Class. Super reliable. I have owned several of them.
1994 e420
1995 e320
1997 e320
2015 e350

All were super reliable. Very durable. Excellent performance. In Europe they are used as taxi cabs that go over 400k miles.

Most cars depreciate 50% in three years. Luxury cars even more so. Not all MB are great. Just like not all Honda and Toyota's are great. The Honda Odyssey was a lemon with a bad transmission that Honda refused to fix for over a decade. Toyota's also have 4x4 transmission issues.

The S class is the pinnacle of technology. It's expensive. Well maintained they last a long time.

The ML and GLE vehicles are very reliable and durable. The newer suv is junky i agree.

A) every car needs an oil change usually every 10k
B)every other reason you listed is purely subjective and opinionated
C) idk where you buy your wind shield wipers but I got my pair for 40$ on my Mercedes
D) when it’s snowing sleet of course the sensors go off? There’s a big button to turn it off so don’t play dumb like it’s impossible to turn it off
D) Mercedes are known to be the more reliable and Big Bang for your buck then most luxury vehicles

What a frustrating video, this is like knowing you don’t like chocolate and then making a 10 minute rant saying how shitty and expensive Lindt chocolate is. Smh

Tip: never buy brand new car models, Wait a year or two for the manufacture to smooth out issues. Also buy a Mercedes that was actually made in Germany, surprisingly the build quality is 100 times better.

I am a proud owner of MB and it’s a money pit but the ride is exceptionally smooth and nice and in an event of serious accident my chance of survival is higher than other cars out there.

If you can afford $60k Benz, who gives a crap about MPG. Personally I love my GLC63 ❤️

My 2012 e350 has 147, 000 miles and is still running perfect. So far the best purchase I've ever made no issues.

You cannot compare a Mercedes, bmw or Audi to Honda, Toyota. Different class of car. Different demographic of buyers. I have owned several Mercedes and currently have a e-class and have had no issues with them at all. I get all my cars serviced at a local garage but use genuine parts. Cars do not need to go back to dealers. That's a choice you make. As for servicing - my Honda Civic had a fairly standard service schedule based on mileage or time just like my e-class does. None of the Japanese cars have a mile service schedule. That's a stupid thing to say. Premium brands charge more. That works everywhere if you buy clothes, jewellery, watches, glasses.

I was never a German car fan. Mostly owned Toyota, Acura including 2019 MDX Sport Hybrid.
However out of necessity (to tow a trailer) I ended up buying 2016 GLE350 (CPO at 50 % off original).
I have put 7000 miles on the car with 2000 miles towing.
Not one problem. Out of all my cars it's a pleasure to drive.
I can tell car quality (and materials) is high.
I tend to do most of my own oil changes/breaks etc.
Some of the problems you listed are common for other brands too (radar covered with snow for example).
LED lights you can dim it or turn it off.

I just bought a GLE 350 SUV (2200 miles). It’s the nicest vehicle I’ve ever had. The interior lights don’t make it so I can’t see out the windows. The controls are VERY intuitive and easy to use. The HVAC system couldn’t be more simple. If you can’t figure it out, we’ll, that’s on you, sir.

I couldn’t give a squeak about the logo being displayed “everywhere”, and I certainly didn’t pay extra for the feature.

And as far as the resale issue goes: I was able to get into this GLE 350 because when I showed up for my first service interval with my previous SUV, a GLC 300, the manager of the dealership asked if I’d be interested in trading it in. Since I’d only had it for seven months, I laughed and said that I couldn’t afford the depreciation. They actually gave me almost what I paid for it AND made such a terrific deal on this GLE 350 that it would have been idiotic not to take the deal.

Experiences differ. I get that. But your free trial couldn’t have been so bad that you’re warning people away from the brand. You just sound butthurt that some folks are paying over $60, 000 for an SUV.

It isn’t a crime to have and enjoy a few nice things.

Wow, this is hard to watch!
I've been a Mercedes owner for the last 14 years, E class and now GLs-Class models the last 9 years....I would never drive anything else. They are IMO the best vehicles!

I have a GLC 300, and have had no issues at all. Yes, the battery was expensive, but the original battery last ❤for over 5 yrs. I bought it used when it was 2 yrs old, and paid a good price. The thing I like most about it is, the ac works better than any car I have ever driven. Also, I had the car for 4 yrs and a dealership offered only $3, 500.00 less than what I paid for it. And what’s even better is, I had it for about 3 months and paid it off in full.

The HUD display can be lowered to not obstruct your view. Or turned off altogether if you hate it. I only found it distracting initially, now I find it useful and help me keep my eyes on the road more.

Had my GLK 220d 4 magic for 9 years. Zero problems. Battery, light bulbs still original. Just sold it and got a certified used GLC 220d. Diesel, 194 bhp, 7, 000 miles, facelift model. Drives like a dream. Hope it will be as reliable as the GLK
