I was extremely lucky, I quit my job of 7 years because I was forced to take on management duties for just $15 an hour, guilt tripped into not taking my breaks and working during my lunch. I was a goody two shoes, gave them my two weeks, stayed for the two weeks and left. I applied for a job that I was denied a couple years ago, but decided to give it one more try and got accepted this time. Better pay, very acceptable towards mental health.

I gave them my two weeks before I even applied to the other job. I applied during the middle of my first week. I knew that if i hadn't taken the first step to quiting, I would have been stuck in that job for the rest of my life being under appreciated.
