It kind of is the easiest sourdough bread we’ve made in one day, which is why we are sure this is a recipe that most people are going to love! ✨

The most important thing here is to have a very active sourdough starter. You just need to discard a bit of your starter and refresh it with some flour and water. Then, let it rest at room temperature (25°C/77°F). Once it’s active, we can start the process of NOT kneading! 😉

We are using all-purpose flour, which is the type of flour we all have at home! Anyone will be able to make this recipe without any trouble.

Here’s the recipe to make 1kg of dough.

Ingredients:
- (90%) All-purpose flour: 500gr
- (10%) Whole wheat flour: 55gr
- (60%) Water: 330gr
- (20%) Sourdough Starter: 100gr
- (2%) Salt: 10gr

We are using a plastic oven bag which serves the same purpose as a dutch oven! We are going to achieve the same result with a more affordable method for beginner bakers!

It should go into the oven at 250°C for 20 minutes. Then, we remove the plastic oven bag and let it cook for another 25 minutes.

Let us know how it goes! Pretty simple, isn’t it?

This is definitely how housewives made bread back in the day. Can't imagine my great grandmother was doing some crazy stretch and fold schedule.

It's great bread but I'd rather not use a plastic bag.

I realize the purpose is to show how a no-knead recipe can still work, but adding just a few simple stretch and folds (keeping the dough in the bowl) would make a much, much better end result. BTW, love the oven bag idea!

Honestly i got better result using a starter 3 days old inside the fridge at 4 degrees than an active starter
