Ingredients
450g bread flour
2 Tsp fast action or instant yeast
2 Tsp Sea Salt or Kosher Salt
375ml very warm water

Method
Add your Flour, Yeast & Salt into a mixing bowl whisk or mix well to make sure all the ingredients are well incorporated.

Then add 375ml of very warm water and place cling film or a kitchen towl over the top and let proof for 2-3 hours

Once your dough has doubled in size and is wobbly like jelly, Preheat your oven to 230°C/450°F (220°C fan) and place your baking tray or pot into the oven to heat up for 15 minuets

Flour your surface and place on your dough, lightly flour and form your shape by twisting and tucking the dough underneath, you then then score at this point if you'd like

Grab yourself some baking paper and place the dough onto the paper

If you don’t have a Dutch oven, boil the kettle and grab an oven proof pot or tray to create a steam effect .

Remove your pot from the oven and place your dough inside using the baking paper. Put into the oven on the middle shelf along with the boiling water and cook for around 40 minuets

Remove from oven and let cool on a cooling rack for 15 minuets and that’s it!

I make this bread more than any other. It’s delicious. Easy, yes. Lazy, no. Lazy would be buying it at the supermarket.

I've made your recipe twice, and it is the most delicious bread I've ever had! I added some rosemary to the dough, and it was chef's kiss! The first time I made it was in a pan with the boiling water, and it came out great! The second time, I used a Dutch oven (Mother's Day gift from my youngest son), and it was amazing! Best recipe EVER!! 😋 Thank you so much!! ❤

I tried this today, so good and easy to make!! I made it for just me so I reduced the quantity to half and bake at 450F for 30 mins instead of 40 mins. Thank you for the recipe, I will never buy store-brought bread ever again!!!

I just made this and ate my first slice a few minutes ago -- it's legitimately delicious. I was expecting "not bad" or "good enough, " not fantastic. It's as good as any artisan rustic loaf from my local bakery, the crust has an excellent crunch/firmness, the interior is soft, crumb is beautiful, and the density is perfect for sandwiches. Thanks for the recipe!

The idea behind a slow rise or even a cold rise is flavor enhancement.

I have a lazier method. Just mix baker flour, dry yeast and salt and some water. let it grow for 10 to 12 hrs, meaning overnight. then put it into air fryer. simple. no need to think too hard. Just make sure the final dough size match your air fryer.
