FFS. You just don't stop, do you?
I have a drafts folder in my email with a gazillion links to your tutorials, but this one along with the "the chord in which the note lives" is a real gem.

One of the top 4-5 teachers on You Tube or anywhere for that matter.

I like to write down all the notes of every chord and circle all the common notes

I know you hear how great of a teacher you are all the time. What’s really crazy is how good of a guitar player you are and how deep your understanding of the instrument is. I aspire to be like you sir

Autopiloting. That is exactly the term I was looking for when I said "locked in" the other day.

It probably seems a bit obvious to not target the D over Amaj since it isn't in Amaj. I guess the point is to find the unique notes to highlight the chord. Because some chords might have shared notes so you won't hear or feel the transition as strongly on a note that's in both chords.

I’ve been playing for 21 years and I’m trying to get better but I still can’t seem to fully comprehend this. I feel like I’m so close, yet so far. 😔

Sounded like a little Eric Johnson lick at the end, there.

Hi Sir..Learning so much from your videos..Just wish to know Sir..I know all patterns of Modes..So for A maj to Bmin..can I play corresponding scales as in A maj( A Ionian ) over A and Bdorian over Bminor?..Coz for a given chord progression, Say 1 4 5 in A..Using pentatonic, I can play A maj pent over A..but what to play on 4 and 5 as notes will vary if I play D major Penta on D and Emaj Penta on E chord..( of course then we just have to Target chord notes of respective chords and ensuring not to play non-chord notes while playing pentatonic over each chord)..Is my interpretation correct Sir..?..Thank you for your valuable lessons Sir..

I don’t understand how the fretboard works .
in the normal ABCDEFG starting position so inversions are not working for me I never know what is the right not of #1 root
