It's not easy to have teeth issues. Thank you so much for sharing so deeply because you are helping many people.

here's a good question: How do we LOWER the prices of dental work in general? Its absolutely criminal how expensive it is.

I’m 63 years old and due to grinning my top front teeth are breaking and are in a bad way. What I don’t understand is why I was never told about night guards when I was
You are a beautiful lady and I have lots of respect for you 🙏❤️😘🥰🌹🌹🌹

Not sure how or why this popped up on my feed as I haven't searched for this but I will say this. I am going on my 3rd month of healing after a full mouth replacement with implants. You hit every single point that I find myself going through. I was in a bad place as well and it's funny how much we can get "used to" that we shouldn't. Best part about getting full implants? Being able to smile and not hide!!

Keep it going!

Thank you for making this video. I am going from full upper and lower dentures to all on 4 and have been looking for “real” experiences. Like you I have had medical issues all my life that caused me to lose my real teeth. I know it takes a lot of personal strength to put yourself to the world like this. And I just wanted to say thank you for doing so.

I neglected my teeth growing up and as a result I feel like I royally messed up my life due to it. During quarantine it didn't really bother me too much because everyone wore masks but when the mask mandate ended, I realized that I couldn't just keep wearing a mask all the time. But for the time being all I could do was wear it knowing full well that I wasn't going to be able to keep that up. I grew incredibly self conscious and have terrible anxiety every time I talk to someone in case they notice my teeth. Since I couldn't keep wearing a mask every time I went out, I decided to shut myself in the house. I stopped talking to my friends since they would frequently ask me to go out with them and I would have to come up with some excuse every time since I was so embarrassed, I haven't been face to face with them in around 2 years. I'm 19 coming up on 20 in a few months and I have never had a job because (again) the anxiety I have from my teeth. I don't have dental insurance and the cost to have implants is way out of my range. Please take care of your teeth everyone, this situation I put myself in has ruined my life and I don't know how to get out of it.

I work in a Dental Lab in Vancouver, Canada, which specializes in implant restorations.
Very amazing to hear this from a patient's point of view. Thank you for making this video!

I see that this is two years old, but I wanted to Thank You for putting this online. Like you mentioned, 'putting yourself out there' is usually not a comfortable feeling and for you to do that is commendable. This information is very useful to people like myself. I am almost certainly headed for work to be done like this and videos like this are rare and do help me a lot. Take care and Happy Holidays.

It’s refreshing to see people talk about their personal experiences that no one wants to talk about. Both of my parents lost their teeth in their late 40’s, so I understand how difficult it can be for people to talk about this.

Omg girl you open up my mind about dental implants. Been having problems about my real teeth and thinking about dental implant not knowing how my mouth works with implants. Listening to you on your video make it so crystal clear that implant’s is the only way to solve my problems. You are so great at explaining about your experiences you went through that’s what I’m experiencing now with my teeth. I’ve watched so many videos nothing make sense until I watched your video. Everything you said made so much better for me to know everything about implants thank you thank you your the best❤❤❤

I have a single implant as an upper incisor and it began to feel just like a real tooth after a few months. The only time I notice it is when biting on something hard because it's so much more robust than a natural tooth, but it still doesn't feel alien

A lot has changed since this video was made. We are now making zirconium bridges on 4 - 6 implants mounted on multi units and no titanium framework which brought the cost down tremendously.
With multi unit it is also less irritating to the gums. With zirconium it is much stronger, teeth dont chip or break and food does not accumulate because it is highly polished.

You are very brave for getting on here and sharing this. I too have grown up with bad teeth. My 2 front teeth were crooked and broken all through school. At 24 I finally decided to get help and go to the dentist. I have veneers in the front now and a mouth full of crowns and fillings. You are very beautiful and amazing for encouraging others. Thank you!

Your explaining things very well. I ran a dental lab for 32+ years and at the age of 62 ended up with a monolythic Zirconia hybrid. In the end, through discussions with my periodontist and prosthodontist we decided to go with twelve implants. Although it's a long haul I am very pleased with the decisions that we made. Being a dental tech. I was aware of all the procedures I would be facing. And again, you do a great job explaining what to expect. I pretty much went through what you did but also had some procedures beyond you. After the initial things that were done I had several CBCT scans to allow my periodontist to pick and choose the best places and angles for the implants to be placed into the alveolar bone. From there the scans were sent out to have both the mandibular and maxillary guide plates made. At my request we did what is known as guided surgery. I had two sinus lifts done and what is known as mandibular buccal torus osteotomy, oh so much fun lol. I had some bone removed to help the lower hybrid fit better. I could go on and on as you well know but for me the whole procedure from start to finish was a very positive experience. Keep up the good work. It's funny, and I think most techs would tell you the same thing, I find myself always looking at people's teeth but, and please don't be embarrassed, you have absolutely beautiful eyes and that is what I kept focusing on. Thank you for the work you are doing. Have a wonderful 2022.
