My husband suffered from cystic acne his whole life. It was just awful. Lots of scaring and nodules. It made me appreciate my skin. My son did not inherit acne.

and what exactly causes each, or causes them to turn into the next kind and what is the best course of treatment for each major type or to stop the progression of each??? please help, I think I had 3 ALL at different stages of life prior to 40, but my kids are all getting them differently and how can I help them because I see my own exact same types in each kid at different times, to complicate things (maybe?) they're ALL biracial (white and African American, ALL different pigments from almost indigo, ALL the way to VERY Caucasian looking)... any help dr.lee? I've ALWAYS watched you, even before your show!!! it's cathartic to watch!!!...

I used to have severe acne when I was younger. The drs just gave me benzoyl peroxide and it got bad and burnt my face. I cut all dairy out of my diet and very careful with what goes on my face.

it's strange cuz i don't have any blackheads but I have quite a lot of the 2nd one but like I dont get pimples just a bunch of dots on my forehead if that makes sense
