The person who commented «clean ur face» should clean her soul.

telling someone to wash their face to reduce acne is like telling someone to brush their curly hair

The moment I realized how unfair having acne is was when I was telling my clear skinned friend about problems due to acne and she had the audacity to say “just wash your face”

For healthy skin, what worked for me: In the morning, cleanse your face thoroughly. Choose a mild, gentle face wash such as the riceberry facewash from littleexttra and then moisturize my face. Riceberry has antioxidants which protects my skin from free radicals and thus prevents aging. Do not overcleanse your face. Limit washing to once in the morning and once before bedtime. Ensure to moisturize your face throughout the day. And don't forget sunscreen even when you are at home. The white patches in skin occur when your skin is already dry and due to the exposure from sun. So you must prevent your skin to be dry and protect it from harsh exposure of sun.

I had bad acne during my teens and into my early twenties. Was referred to a specialist who assured me that my skin would clear up when I reached 30. He was absolutely right. I noticed at around aged 26/27 my skin was improving. I'm now 65 and my skin is really clear and soft, and Im often told I look a lot younger. Probably because of having oily skin in my teens

I’ve always been scared people will look at my acne and think I have poor hygiene or don’t wash my face but I take better care of my skin than most people that have clear skin😭

When I see someone with terrible acne I never judge them at all, I definitely have empathy and alway think to myself “that looks like it really hurts”.

When your acne is this bad, going to the dermatologist is the best solution. Speaking from my own experience

I had the same amount of acne on my face or even more when i was in 12th standard or high school. It was pretty bad cause everyone would just stare at me all the time and some of the acne would pop in the middle of classes and it would hurt a lot. No one helped but myself. After 2 long years of struggle i came across isotane and clindamycin. I year dropped and stayed at home after finishing school because people would call me a freak. I had such low self esteem that I didn’t get out of the house for a year and stopped taking calls and stopped meeting everyone. Eventually I went into depression because with the start of the medication my face went from bad to worse. What I didn’t know was thats how istone works since no one really understood what i was going through since acne wasn’t a big deal for them. Within 6 months I could see the difference and in 1.5 years of medication my face completely recovered and I haven’t had acne ever since. It has been 8 years now.

Honestly what worked for me is realizing that acne is inflammation in your body coming out through the surface. Find out what is causing the inflammation and cut it out of your life. For me, I am sensitive/allergic to a lot of skincare products and as said in the video, certain foods definitely trigger the acne. I started exercising, eating more vegetables and fruit, started taking a supplement for my liver, a probiotic, and stopped having as much dairy (I only have a lactose free protein shake nowadays) and low and behold, no more constant acne. I also switched to a brand called clearstem that healed my skin very quickly and is pretty much the only brand not to irritate my skin 8(. It's so hard for people to find things that work because so many ingredients can cause irritation. I suffered all throughout my 20's from near constant irritation and couldn't afford to go to a dermatologist. I feel awful for anyone who suffers from acne. Even if it's normal for some, it can hurt so badly and affects mental health. It's important to keep your body free from the toxins either from lifestyle or diet. I also find that if I eat a food I have an intolerance to, it can cause acne. Things like retinol and salicylic acid made my skin barrier worse :( So yeah definitely the main priority should be nourishing your skin barrier and getting rid of internal or external inflammation.

She is so beautiful. As someone who struggled with severe acne and still does, I understand how she feels. Acne doesn’t take away her beauty❤️
