The last update has prevented me from summoning any of my ps4 friends, yet they can still summon me. Even summoning my ps5 friends can fail half the time. 2 weeks of this is unreal and wrong. I have never in my 35 years of gaming seen something in a game broken for so long, most developers have these types of issues fixed in afew hours, 1 day at most. Im stuck soloing everything after we beat a boss in my friends world so i can progress with him. 2 weeks and i cant play with most my friends this is so wrong. I talked 5 of my friends to buy Elden Ring to play with them yet i cant. 2 weeks WTF . Im on Ps5

They game is bugged, if you can't summon your friend, you both have to close the game and turn off internet and back on. It fixes it, until you beat a boss again and you have to do it all over again. Stupid you have to do all that instead of them making a multi-player option to go thru the whole game.

I played for 3 days trying to figure it out. It may sound weird but you'll have to go to main menu, then go to network, press data usage, now press Y if on Xbox, Triangle if on PlayStation, choose different language then try to play. It should work!!

last night I summoned my friend and we had a great time until I died, after that (didnt kill any bosses) we tried to summon again and for both of us the items were greyed out and we couldnt use them, anyone know why?

BTW IF YOU HAVE DEFEATED THE AREA BOSS YOU CANT SPAWN PEOPLE THERE ANYMORE.

You have to go to another location where there’s still an area boss. I think the golden horse dude in the first step is the area boss so you can’t spawn people around there if you have defeated him. Same thing with Margrit, Godrick, etc; there has to be a boss in the area so you can spawn people in it.

Make sure in setting you also have “send summoning sign” enabled lastly if that doesn’t work then check your internet connection.

The problem in my case is that I'm trying to help a guy but his multiplayer option is not available, I told him to activate "perform matchmaking" its still not available, he has Gamepass ultimate, he has the Launch Setting set to Online, and he accepted the data usage agreement still not available

Tried doing this with my friend at the southern area by church of Marika but it never worked. Nothing showed up for either of us. We can summon at first step but not down there and we can't walk there either. Idk what's going on, they NEED to streamline multiplayer

Man my friend cant see my sign. He hasn't killed any boss, and when he tries to summon me, he cant see the signs. Does nat type play apart of it? We can play siege perfectly fine...

Thanks for the guide. Coop was working great about 5 days ago and now it doesn’t work for my wife and I at all… I can’t see her sign and she can’t see mine. Really bummed out that we can’t play together now

i can't summon my friend in my world in a certain place, while if he does it in his world in the same place I can get summoned.

My friend and i did the same thing but he cant see my sign on the ground we were on the same spot but still and even we tried with and without password. Can anyone help

Let's see if anyone has any fix for this problem. My buddy can not see any summon signs nor can anyone see is, all of his settings are set up right now matter what site of grace he is at it never works. If he logs into his account on my PS4 there is no problem and he can see summon signs and use them but it will not work no matter what on his PS4 console. If anyone has any idea I'd appreciate it because at this point even banco support can't help.
