One of my biggest issues I find with myself in shoots (and I say myself, because in reality, no one on sets really aware of this feeling) is feeling rushed. When I change lenses, I feel rushed and think “hurry up, people are waiting”
Or I’ll try to find a composition I’m pleased with, but after a few minutes, I start feeling pressure to hurry up. The feeling of being rushed, whether you are or not, greatly effects the results of the image.
I have to work on having patience with myself because, in reality, no one is ‘waiting’.
In reality, no one wants me to ‘hurry up’- they’d prefer great images.

Why are these portraits so much better than most youtubers I've seen even the big ones. Good job

These are great tips for any beginner. Definitely ground tips to build a foundation! I've been doing photography for 17+ years now and still love watching what others suggest. Keep it up!

I'm a college student who has experience as a DP and video editor--but I'm recently trying to get into photography as a way to experiment and make sure I am well-rounded in the camera realm. Videos like these are so helpful! I have only done one 30-minute shoot with a friend, and it came out well! But hopefully your videos can teach me how to work with people who aren't my close friends 😆 also hope to improve my communication skills!

Amazing tips mates! Location scouting is so critical. I feel like I do need to know the ins and outs of the locations that I’m shooting. 🙏

Great video. I wish I had more than the 2 or 3 photographers, (one great one - who did my Actors Head Shot) around like you.
My modeling shots came easy. But yes the Portraits and even everyone's favorite heads hot of mine did better with the other side of the camera's vision.
Where were you when I needed you? 😂🎉😅
Good advice!
