1. Do all your work
2. Talk to everybody, break out of your shell
3. Join clubs or sports, I'd say personally I loved marching band
4. Dont date seniors
5. Enjoy every part of it or else you'll regret it

I’m actually starting high school tomorrow.. I remember watching this years ago. Time flies.. Class of 2023 🙂 EDIT: (7/10/2020) I remember watching/reading comments giving advice last year before going into high school and I just completed my freshman year so here goes nothing: My freshman year was pretty good, it really flies though. High School is definitely very different from middle school/elementary. There is a lot more freedom, which I prefer. I will also say that the beginning of my freshman year it was hard to adjust, I literally sat with one other person on the first day at lunch and forgot to get my transpass that day. Also I missed the early train home. But eventually it definitely got way better. A tip I have is to get involved in different things that interest you so you can make friends easily. That can be a sport, music, a club, etc. Also make sure to focus on your academics because they’re important. Anyways that’s my advice and obviously high school was shut down from covid-19 so I didn’t really get to experience the whole year. Also I wanna finally add that HIGH SCHOOL IS FOUR YEARS YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BE THE SAME PERSON YOU WERE GOING INTO IT. Use these four years to learn who you are, and your identity as. a person. No one is going to be the same person they were in the beginning of freshman year. Take advantage of high school. Also finally make high school memorable.. make sure to do stuff you’ve never done before, things out of your comfort zone- whether big or small. I’m already a sophomore these years will fly and I know soon enough i’ll be a senior graduating. So live it up with zero regrets because everything that happens to you whether it’s unfortunate (there will be some awful days) or amazing will help shape you into the person you will be in the future.

...first day of high school was nothing like this for me. No jocks, no drama mamas, no hit teachers that everyone fan girls over or any other things. It was just boring af. We just got bunches of papers to sign, I think. And stuff stuff. That's all I can remember from first day of high school. Bunches of paper we need to sign.

1, Do a Good impression
2, act like a smart student but not a wierd nerd.
3, talk to your classmates
4, make stupid but funny jokes
5, catch up with them

incoming freshman: this is nothing like high school! you don’t have to eat i’m the bathroom or be worried about older people being mean (very VERY few are but most people are very helpful because they remember they’re first year) and get involved! high school is a TON of fun

I remember I watched this video a few years back when it was my first year of middle school. I had a heart attack because I thought that high school was really scary. And NOW this year I'm going to highschool and I can say I feel like I'm going to die. I can't deal with new people I just get really nervus and probobly come of as really weird.
The only thing that will probobly Save me is if someone has the same music interest as me because music is my life and if someone meantions it I'll open up to them immediatly.
