Hey APS, I knew a guy who was a retired prison guard. I asked him how some guys survive in prison and he told me about a dude who would ride this imaginary horse every where he went. Before chow time he'd tie the horse up, eat and then get back on it again and even make horse sounds. Then came the day where he was to be transferred or something and when he got in the van, the first thing out of his mouth to the guard was "Oh thank god I don't have to do that anymore". He basically told me that one of the ways to survive in prison is to act insane.

When I went to jail the first time, I definitely felt deer in the head lights. I have no idea how I chose the right table, but I sat with the Native Americans naturally. One of them asked if I was a chief. After a second of processing, I knew he meant if I were Native and so I said yes. They ended up teaching me all the various ways to make a Towel and your rack into a freaking gym. lol
