Superfood Flaxseed has great hair friendly properties. It reduces frizz, dryness and makes the hair visibly smoother and straighter.

Method:
Organic flaxseeds: 200 gms
Water: 4 cups or approx 800ml
The ratio of Flaxseed to water should be 1:4 to get a workable consistency . Less water makes the gel very thick to be extracted.

Boil seeds and water together on low to medium heat for 7-8 minutes.
The gel gets extracted. Switch off the heat.
Heating it any further will make the gel too thick .

Use a regular Sieve or a clean cloth to extract the gel While it is Still HoT. Once it starts cooling, it is super difficult to extract gel as the gel hardens.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge. Remains good for upto 15 days when away from moisture.

Important:
The remaining boiled seeds can once again be boiled and a new batch can still be extracted. As flaxseeds have way too much gel to be extracted only once.

You can use a metals strainer as well to strain it while it's hot, to avoid getting burn. It works❤

To avoid wasting of flex seed you can grind the seeds and then boil it with water. After straining the gel you can drink the flex seed with water. My professor told me that it is good for memory.

I mix it with some leave in conditioner in a small container and use it to style my curly/coily hair. It works wonderfully. Also, flaxseed has omega 3. I eat it with my yogurt. Remember that eating healthy is key for hair growth ❤
