In this video I'll teach you the importance of answering common HR question, behavioral questions and identity interview questions. Interviewers will ask you three different types of questions and your success depends on your answers. If you are only prepared for behavioral questions, then you'll only pass part of the interview, so you need to learn how to answer all three types of interview questions in order to do well on your interview.

Learn why job candidates will fail their interviews and why employers won't call them back for second interviews and job offers. Most people don't know what it is that they did during their interview that turned off their interviewer. In this video, I'm going to show you what you have been doing wrong. Employers use behavioral interviewing techniques and behavioral questions to determine if you will be a suitable employee.

Interviews are generally made up of 3 sets of questions, but the bulk of your interview depends on how you answer a few questions, sometimes even only one question..

Your videos are very helpful! Thank you for all the free information you give out. I had a tough question asked in an interview. The interviewer told me " you and another guy are the two im considering for this job", then she said " this other guy has alot of education in this field but very limted experience why should i hire you over him"? I said well i have 10 years of experience in this field and best way i can explain why you should hire me, Have you been on vacation before? She replied "yes", i said was it your first time there? She said "yes" i asked her if you had a tour guy to show you all around the city or place you were vacationing at, would you want that guy to have read about that place for 20 years or a guy who has lived at that place for 20 years? She replied "lived" i said this is what i have, i have 10 years of lived experience in this field and that's why you should hire me. Yes i got the job.

My biggest problem is my anxiety. I'm intelligent and articulate but when I get in that room my heartbeat starts racing. I need to learn to appear relaxed and calm.

Don, You are truly a blessing to me right now.
I am a new resident to my area and although I know I have all the skills necessary for my job description, I am oblivious to the right things to say during an interview. The suggestions you provide have given me a lot of confidence to relate my position successfully. I'll continue to view the videos because there's always something new to learn and add to my personal knowledge. Thanks for sharing your own personal experience with me.

Don Georgevich. Just want to send my appreciation for your videos on applying and preparing for a job & the interview. Almost a year ago I used your YouTube channel to prepare for my first job interview in 12 years. I had a great interview and was offered the job without much delay. I was confident in my abilities but you helped me make sure to get the message across so here I am giving thanks!

Don, I meticulously watched your videos, took extensive notes, typed up several STAR behavioral scenarios, as well as other situational materials as a reference for studying prior to my interview near May, 2014 and got the job.  You were on my mind throughout the entire interview!  I want to sincerely thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for explaining in detail how the STAR method works, and how this tool lifted my confidence.  I will soon be attending an interview for a position I have SO longed for in about 1 week, and am once again preparing new notes and re-reviewing your videos, just as I did last year.  Keep your fingers crossed; I will definitely update the status through your comments section.  Thank you, again, Don.

I have an interview in 4 hours. I've been studying for 2 days with your guide. I'm so nervous and yet I'm excited to try out these new techniques...it's only for an entry level job but it's with the state of Oregon dept. of human services so it's tough.

I was interviewed for a senior lab technician job beginning of December. I have to say that the interviewer was very nice, pleasant and respective. In the second interview, she started asking very specific technical questions in detail. Few of them I did not manage to answer correctly, I had to think much and really could not find a clue at the moment. 18 months unemployed, missed some of the technical details in the course of time. Here is the thing: I made the mistake not to revise in detail the techniques (required in the job description) and finally got rejected. In general terms I was able to articulate well and I had 1000% the qualification for the position. I am sure the one who revised in the last moment and spit everything out got the job. This is what always happens, people know how to talk but when it comes to action they are unable to fullfil any activity. Got frustrated and still feel very annoyed. Thanks for all videos you upload for us Don! Greetings from Athens, Greece.

My last interview went really well. I listened to all of your advice. I was offered and accepted the job. The interviewers later told me that I nailed it and that they enjoyed my honesty and upbeat personality. They also said that I was clearly prepared. I personally want to thank you for that!

I have an interview next week and I have not had one in almost 9 years! I'm terrified! lol my problem is that I'm very successful in anything I do (not to sound like I'm better then anyone cause I'm not. ) but I am a very strong worker, and I can only show that when I'm hired, I'm unable to B'S my way through an interview. I clam up immediately and have a huge problem getting things out. I have no problem from my head to writing on paper, but my head to my tongue, I have a huge problem. I never know what to say and I have so much potential if they could just hire me for me to prove it because an interview just might be a huge loss for the company and myself. I have confidence in everything I do and what I can learn to do but no confidence in me at all to try to sell my potential. I'm watching all your videos until the very last day and I pray I can conquer my interview. lol

Good Evening Don, I rely on your videos before I go on any interview.  I've been offered two jobs.  The first job had a non-negotiable salary that was to low to support my family; the second requires an extensive background check that can take up to a year, again, I can't feed, clothe and shelter my family while waiting for the results of a background check (after holding a clearance for 27 years in the USAF).  I am going to be receiving a phone call tomorrow (5 Aug 2015) from the HR representative and I am going to watch your video on handling phone interviews and then move onto the next video in this series.  Thank you for doing what you do!

my last interview seemed to go well, but the lady kept giving me excuses as to why she didn't know my work schedule. she kept telling me the system was down, then she told me I needed a background check. then she told me the system had ejected my application and that I had to do another one. idk what was going on but I'm going for an interview today and I'm hoping all goes well. thanks for making these videos.
