My mom freaked when I joined the Army. My Dad was proud. When I joined the fire department, my mom was worried. My dad was proud. And now, my oldest son is getting ready to join and his mom is completely beside herself and I'm unbelievably proud.

Army mom here. Every time I brought my son to the airport after leave, I hugged him, backed up, stuck my hand out, shook his hand while thanking him for his service and sacrifice. I would then turn around get in my car. I would make it around the curve where I couldn't be seen . I would carefully pull over and cry my fucking eyes out. So damn proud, so damb scared.

“You develop real skills, you develop discipline. Things other people wish they could have.”

THAT should be an ad.

Joined at 34 to be a combat medic. First thing I've ever started and completed. Now I finish everything I start.

20 years ago I joined as a 11b and ended up in the 82nd. My 2 son's are a 11B opt 40, and 0311 Marine. It was the proudest moments as a father to see them want something bigger then most will ever see.

My son is joining in 2 years, his dream was Airforce but He wants something more challenging and has chosen Army now. I am scared to death and have started searching the internet for videos, I first found you ion ticktock & followed you here, I have that look in this video, I am scared to death but the pride you have makes me feel better about watching my son fight for our country.

Joined at 28, parents, grandparents and siblings thought I was crazy even though I was a grown adult. First one to ever be in the military in my family. Currently 38 sitting in Engineer BOLC after commissioning. Hope my kids follow in my footsteps. These are some good commercials though.

Oh my God! I can't stop crying as I'm watching this video! My son started basic training in July and is now stationed at Fort Carlson in Colorado. I've supported him since the first time he mentioned it while others criticized him and called him crazy. On the inside, I felt just like the parents in the video. But I knew he needed someone to understand him and show him support and love. And that's exactly what I did!! ❤️❤️❤️

I’m in high school right now and when I decided I wanted to serve my parents reacted the exact same way as the ones in this ad. I’ve realized that not many understand the fact that there are actually people out there who want to fight.

Nikko explaining the “bring our troops home” statement is so true, if I join the military it’s because it’s my personal choice not someone elses

It almost sounds like when my recruiter came to my house to meet my parents and right after he left they asked. I've never seen my dad as proud or my mom as scared but they've supported me 100%

The 2nd one is 100% my favorite just the way his mom looks at him in the end. She looked proud that he is her son that he wants to go somewhere and make a real difference.

Man your patriotism and mindset give me a raging red white and blue. These are bad ass finds. Actually got chills a few times.

I remember seeing this commercial on YouTube ad. Still my favorite one because my parents kinda said the same thing when I told them ima be a us ranger and transfer into delta force after some time

As someone going though BMQ right now (basic training Canada) I agree 1000x over with this commercial. It’s literally everything we want, we all want to prove ourselves and do something the majority haven’t. Great commercial and video ! Keep up with the great content bro ! Much love from your brothers to the north ! 🇨🇦🇺🇸

My dad was surprisingly ok with me going into the military especially when I explained why I wanted to go in. Idk what he told my mom, but she was also ok with it. Having the support from family when you join the military is the biggest thing any soldier/future soldier can have…and doing it for yourself

They are short, simple, well shot and edited to make a quick to the point inspiring and emotional message. Our troops aren’t sent into war to die. They are sent to war to win and are trained to win. I understand a parents worries but sometimes I feel like they think when you enlist you immediately get sent overseas to fight with no training lol.

Took me almost 2 years to join. I failed for some hardcore units (I'm just not built for that, and that's ok) and then when I finally passed, the government cut the budget and my class got cancelled.

My mom and stepdad didn't want me to join (my dad served so he was proud) until they saw my absolute dedication over all those months. Now they're proud I've been serving my country for 11 years and counting. (EU not US).

And for the people saying only dumb people join the military: my boss is currently paying for my bachelor's degree.

"their success tomorrow begins with your support today" probably the best fucking quote I've ever heard/seen.

Brought me to tears, that ad. Did my service in the late 90s, now I'm in law enforcement. The challenge is out there everyday. Struggling to make a safer world for my children and everyone else.
