So far, I have lost 26 percent of my body weight in 18 months and continue to lose weight. No weight loss medication and no surgery. Walking is my primary exercise — 15, 000-20, 000 steps five days a week. I eat less than 25 grams of carbohydrates a day…and only two meals a day. I eat unprocessed meats (salmon, sardines, steak, turkey, chicken, hamburger), cruciferous vegetables, berries, seeds (flax, chia), low sugar dairy, eggs, cheese, coffee and water. I eat until I am full. Eliminating processed foods and sugar reversed my prediabetes. I stopped buying manufactured food. My HBA1c dropped from 6.3 to 5.4. It’s not a diet…I changed my relationship with food. If I can do it, anyone can.

Five years ago, i weighted 300 lbs. I had type 2 diabeties and high blood pressure. I went on a whole plant based diet, fasting (8/16), HIT training 3 times/week, walk 30 minutes EVERY day. I took no shitty medication (metformine, ...), just Ashwagandha, Berberine, Fenugreek, Gymnema, and Amla powder. I'm now 195 lbs, 12% body fat. I got rid of diabetes and high blood pressure, and I'm sexy as hell ;-)

Through intermittent fasting + OMAD I went from 72 kg to 56 kg in about 8 months. I do seem to hit a plateau at the current weight however as it's become extremely slow to shed more weight.

I need someone to tell me what to do. I lose around 6kg by eating better but I am not physically able to exercise due to my chronic pain disease. Everything that's not laying down hurts a lot and the pain is still there when I lie down. Just walking alone is a real pain even though I wanted to run a marathon before this. I have had surgery twice and there's nothing else they can do for me. I'm 21 years old and everyone always assumes im just a lazy fat person because my disability is invisible. I want to be healthy but I don't know how to do it without exercising. I dont have anything to live for except university and trying to accept the pain I have to endure daily for the rest of my life is a struggle I still have. Sometimes the only time I enjoy life is when I eat food. I dont mean unhealthy foods just food in general. But now it just feels like I cant do anything. I changed my diet but now im stuck in the weight im at rn. If anything im somehow gaining it back when im still dieting. What do you do when you cant physically exercise. I wanna be pretty

Medications is not the solution for everything! How about cures instead of bandages?

Besides putting someone on a new medication to lose weight. Your other video on medications that cause weight gain, prove some of us may need to change up the medications that we are on that are causing that weight gain. I was always able to lose weight till my hormones started to shift and I went on birth control (progestin only) and I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and was put on gabapentin. This is totally skipping the stress factor. Wish I could afford a team of Drs like that study to help me.

Ive worked hard for years but never lose the weight. At most i lost 20-30 ibs before everything just halts or even goes back up. I kid you not ive hone to bed and woke up 5 ibs heavier for no reason and the 5 ibs stay. Eventually, I reach my old weight or worse and the cycle starts again. Idk what to do. I eat right and exercise, shoot one of my jobs is heavy manual labor, yet im stuck being obese. Im sick of it!

I really dont agree with this, you are only looking at 12 months in that study- bet they lost more after. I do not agree meds or surgury is needed at all unless you have hypothyroid or other medical condition….

About three or four years ago I was very heavy and I wanted to lose weight and I lost about 8 pounds and after losing 8 pounds I was not seeing any more differences, I thought I had hit a plateau where I could not lose any more weight. So I gave up fast forward to about six months ago I was the heaviest I have ever been I was 285 pounds. I was a fat piece of shit and I thought that my life was pretty much over. I couldn’t make friends because I was lazy and I had no social skills. I started to not eat as much. And I lost about 15 pounds then I started working out and now I’ve lost about almost 30 pounds. It is not whether people can lose weight it is whether you want to or not.

No way! Medication is not a very smart choice. That would be and should be the last resort.
