At Ellen’s, producers admitted to sexually abusing employees and being racist to them, one producer apparently told a black woman:sorry I don’t know your name I only remember the names of the white people that work here. And apparently Ellen knew all about it and her apology was basically "dang that’s crazy I didn’t do that tho".
Another employee had stated she took a couple of days of sick leave and when she was back her position had been filled and she had been fired without notice, people couldn’t make eye contact with Ellen or she would scream at them or get somebody else to do that. If you were to go into her office you had to chew gum before and if she thought you smelled bad you had to go home and shower. People were also highly encouraged to go in and do bits if Ellen was bored or angry. She would pick a new person to be angry at every day, "suck it up and she’ll be mean to someone else tomorrow" was apparently the gist of the workplace.
A total hypocrite when her motto is literally "be kind".
I think she would’ve deserved more than that cancellation.

She was also the one to out Mariah Carey’s pregnancy which Mariah 2 weeks later had to announce as a miscarriage because of Ellen, rather than dealing with it privately.
She also made guests feel uncomfortable on her show a lot of the time.
