I was so excited about this show when it was first announced. I thought “finally a show that would focus on the dark side as well as being set in a time period we hadn’t seen on screen before”. But really they did nothing interesting with the concept and very little to set the High Republic era apart from the prequels era, just a disappointment

It’s because Disney is over saturating Star Wars in exchange for revenue. All these variations and spin offs are just used to push ideas and standpoints that have nothing to do with star wars.

I definitely understand the two big reasons why it was done given the ratings but also there was no way they would repeat that budget again. At the same time, it did give us some of the best lightsaber action ever put the screen and characters in the stranger and Sol. It was up-and-down for me a lot of the way, but I get the decision.

Star Wars fan for the last 47 years...the problem is that they are not making these shows Cinematic but rather theatrical, , meaning like plays. They need spectacle, wonder, energy with a bigger
story and much more to Lucas' vision... I'm out
