Honestly this is a relief, just look what they did to Ki-Adi mundi, they only brought him (breaking the already established lore) to make a cameo… which threw away everything that came with it because he wasn’t supposed the be born just yet.

Imagine what other atrocities they could have done with Yoda or Plagueise.

I think Acolyte needed the second season, as you said to tie up loose ends and finish character arcs, but I can understand why it was cancelled and agree that the writer could have done the show differently. However, this is what we have. Acolyte may not be a masterpiece, but at the end of the day it's Star Wars, a multi-movie and series franchise that tells the story of an entire universe. Not everything will be perfect because it CANNOT be perfect. Everyone has their own idea of Star Wars. All the writers and directors are doing is showing their idea to the greater fanbase.
