Months ago, the New York Times established that for showrunner Leslye Headland, Star Wars The Acolyte could end up a humiliation on a galactic scale. Well now that it’s cancelled it did, and not just for her, but for Kathleen Kennedy as well!
That begs the question, who leaked this cancellation to Deadline Hollywood, and thus made the embarrassment spread worldwide?

It couldn’t have happened to a better series. For folks saying it’s mean of us to celebrating, I want to kindly remind these individuals that the stars and production members attacked us first. They did so because they knew they had a stinker on their hands. Why else rock the boat? Compare the Acolyte to Arcane? Both series had female characters but the latter was infinitely better. Ironically Headland said she was inspired by Arcane but ultimately in the wrong sense. All in all, it says something when this leaked out. The metric for this must have been so bad and damaging that Disney was willing to throw Headland and Kennedy under the bus.
