Obi-Wan's Thoughts on Leaving Anakin on Mustafar (later on)

In today's video let's go over Obi-Wan Kenobi's thoughts and regrets on leaving Anakin Skywalker on Mustafar and how he feels it pushed Anakin depeer into the dark side.

I think not training Luke was smart because Kenobi was not in the right head space to train Luke. This fear or anger Kenobi had could of made Luke just like Anakin on their Jedi paths. Ben backing off was his best choice IMO as he was not confident and needed to keep Luke safe.

I think Obi Wan suggested training Luke from birth, but Yoda turned him down saying that the twins needed to be their own people to get the skils they'd need to fight the Empire, which of course they did (Leia her diplomatic skills and Luke his dogfighting skills for instance).

And if Luke was trained by Obi-Wan from the start, I honestly doubt he'd want to redeem Anakin as he'd be with someone who had no faith he could be turned back (we saw this in ROTJ).

to me, the idea that the embankment was too steep or slippery doesnt make sense. he's a jedi.. just force lift him before he slides down too far to burn, rush him back to the ship before the emperor realizes your intentions and try to reason with anakin before he dives too deep into vader. bringing him back to the ship with a few limbs missing and not burnt probly would have been enough to save padme which in turn would have been the best chance to keep anakin from diving deeper.

I loved this so much! It would’ve changed the universe drastically if Obi Wan had trained Luke. I really hope Disney had a better job with the Obi Wan show. There were some major plot holes in it. But anyway, thank you so much for this video!

Had Obi-Wan chosen to save Anakin from the lava all that he really had to do was use the force to pull him further up the embankment. But he left Skywalker to receive his burn wounds knowing that he was already too far gone into the dark side, believing the latter to simply succumb as an act of mercy. But Kenobi underestimated Anakin’s hatred, the one thing that allowed Sith lords to survive seemingly fatal wounds. Thus, Darth Vader was finally born.

I think Kenobi never helped Anakin because he knew or thought Anakin was lost and after all he was there to kill him. He and Yoda had the mission to destroy the Siths not just defeat them.
But also executing him in that state was to much for Kenobi so he just leaft

I respectfully disagree that Luke would have still wanted to save Vader if he had been trained by Obi Wan. Obi Wan’s intention was to kill Vader, so he more than likely would have trained Luke with the same intention. I doubt Obi Wan wouldn’t have told Luke about Anakin being his father, so Luke wouldn’t have considered redemption either.

Knowing what happens in a New Hope with Leia going to Tatooiee to find Obi Wan to help her against the Empire having the plans of the Death Star it would have been a catastrophe for her if Obi Wan went to an even more remote location that Bail Organa would have no knowledge of. Sure the potential of a stronger Luke would be tempting of an idea but isolating himself even further could have been even more damaging and I think Luke's connections to his family there helped make him a better person.

I would love to see that fanfic, obi-wan taking luke somewhere else to train him. Also, i think a 'what if vader found luke early' would be really cool too

Hey Theory, I have a —- theory for you. What if the Darksaber doesn’t have a Kyber crystal and instead has something similar to a Krayt Dragon Pearl, like something from a Mythosaur that Tarre Viszla had slain in his time

Honestly, I wish they could've done Obi-wan's tv series better without him having to give up the force and let him have less screen time than he actually needed. I think there's a number of things from the show I would love to rewrite to make it better than Disney ever would.
