I actually love this because it shows that this is what Obi thinks Anakin will look like. Remember last time he saw Anakin was wearing his Jedi robes. Obi wan doesn’t even know that Anakin is now wearing the Darth Vader outfit.

this scene shook me hard. like the force is almost warning obi wan that anakins gaze would be coming for him. this scene also made me realize a star wars horror movie might actually work.

Something about this version (hallucination, I know) of Anakin is more sinister and haunting than how he looked throughout most of RoTS, I dare say even more sinister than how he looked on Mustafar after murdering the Separatist leaders.

I'm 29 and I watched every prequel in theaters as kid with my dad and being that I grew up on the original trilogy by the time the prequels came out I knew just about everything and everyone. When this show came out I had to give a shot being that Ewan McGregor and Hayden were reprising their roles. Had no idea what to expect but in the end both my dad and I were completely blown away. When this scene came on we paused it to make absolutely sure that was Anakin. Once we realized it was indeed him my dad said "That's right! The last time Obi-Wan saw Anakin was when he still looked like a Jedi Knight, he has no idea what he looks like now."

This reminded me in Revenge of the Sith when Anakin and Padme were looking out their windows. Sometimes no words just subtlety is way scarier
