I recently spend a month in an ashram in India. In the ashram coffee was not allowed. Black tea was provided during breakfast but only for the first week.. I went through the withdrawal pretty easily and have never slept better or felt more calm. I have been home for 2 weeks now which means I have been drinking coffee for a week and a half (stupid) and I feel awful. Jittery, anxious, tired. Going through the withdrawal alone is harder, expecially when you cant blame all your symptoms on jetlag😅

Thank you for the help and motivation!

Its not the withdrawal, its wanting to get high.

Personally, I drank at least 2- 4 cups of coffee a day. Strong coffee. At least 3 shots of espresso each cup with some flavored creamer. Coffee for me was more of a relaxer verses energy source. I've been drinking my coffee this way for as long as I can remember. I'm 28. Recently this coffee habit has changed dramatically, it now gives me jitters along with anxiety and other side effects. . . . If I just lighten the strength of my cups each time I feel I need one, will this be beneficial? Or any tea alternatives? Is coffee the problem or caffeine?
