Thanks Doug, I never really knew how the ear worked. I never got as much info in Biology glass 50 years ago. I always feel that if you understand how something works. You have more of a chance of fixing it. Or like tinnitus, dealing with it.

I know that the inner ear is important for balance but … I had polio when I was a baby and have such a bad limp that my semicircular canals stopped working. In fact my sons never liked me to carry them and when he was old enough to talk, my older son told me that the reason he didn’t like me to carry him was because it made him seasick. I use my peripheral vision for balance though it doesn’t work so well in situations where something is moving fast like crossing a bridge over a river.
