Using cotton swabs for ear cleaning can inadvertently push earwax deeper into the ear canal, leading to blockages and potential harm. Avoiding this risky technique to safeguard your ear's health is essential. Your ears will thank you!
Place a few drops of either plain water, a basic saline solution, or hydrogen peroxide into the ear canal while tilting your head so the ear opening faces upward. Maintain this position for approximately one minute, enabling gravity to guide the fluid through the earwax. Afterwards, tilt your head in the opposite direction to allow the fluid and earwax to drain out. Alternatively, you could use a bulb syringe to flush out the ear gently.
