I think doing this kind of thing worked differently for me. Doing HIT training never burned off the fat quite like walking as it depletes your glycogen rather than using the fat as a direct source of energy . I felt I had more energy . The last month I have averaged 18000 steps and lost 10kgs of body fat.

I can knock out 20k a day, work from home, and have a walking pad. Keeps me fresh all day, good attitude, no brain fog! Would recommend 👌

I've been trying to walk 10k everyday too. It's hard and tiring but i enjoy walking more than work out.

Just change your mindset 20000 is not tough I usually do 30000 and I am over 3 times your age .

Congrats on the challenge!! I find getting steps on a treadmill to be too monotonous for me. I prefer walking trails or safer neighborhoods. It's easier to get steps in when the scenery changes. But that's jmo.

Walking 10 000 steps a day is so easy. Says a lot about where we are at as humans that this is a challenge.

Walking outside is much better cold or not

It’s so much easier outside, I do it with no problem now

You should try it without a treadmill. A treadmill pushes you along. A sidewalk doesn’t.

I WFH and I'm loving this... 20k a day here... it takes me 3 hours. I start at 530 and knock out 17000 steps... I do the 3000 later. Also, I do the 20k on top of my incidental steps which as a WFH guy is really low, under 5k.

I get a lot of steps in doing walking workouts on YouTube. There’s all kinds of fun ones. I do 25, 000 to 35, 000 steps a day, and I’m 70. It doesn’t look like this is your thing. I also don’t have a job anymore. If I had to do it on a treadmill I could never do it either. If you do 10, 000 steps a day you’ll stay in shape. Also I take weekends off now.😊❤

People who r successful in walking over 10000 steps a day count every step they do including steps doing house work going to the post office etc as well they split their walks across the day. Regardless you did great 👍🏻

👍Good job. I have done the 20k and now I'm doing it again😄 positives = better health better attitude some weight loss; negatives: calluses and achy muscles, joints, but in the end all good learned to do more stretches before and after and tune up my yoga 💥

I'm not sure how many steps it would be. I use to walk 30 miles a day. Just started to walk a bit again after knee replacement. Walking sure passes the time.
