Hey, put a 250K nuke in both and WTF difference does it make? Or even a 10K nuke

if I was a sailor I wouldn't want to defend against either while out on patrol 😅

Missiles easy to get easy use and easy to made and much better

One torpedo going off just 10 ft. or so below the keel of a ship will snap it in two & sink it in moments. Furthermore, although torpedoes are admittedly much slower & shorter in range than anti-ship missiles (which are actually the successors of the World War 2 era German Fritz X & Henschel Hs 293, by the way, & NOT the V-1), there is NO defense so far against them whereas there are multiple optional defenses against anti-ship missiles, such as hard-kill systems such as Close-In Weapon Systems (such as the US Navy's Phalanx or its much larger Dutch cousin Goalkeeper), Surface-to-Air Missiles & nowadays, there's the coming of Directed Energy Weapons Also Known As High Energy Lasers along with soft-kill systems such as flares, chaff & Electronic Counter Measures such as jamming.

Torpedo is 10x more deadly, there's currently no counter to torpedo, only decoys.

Testing of anti ship missile with the goal of landing in the water next to the ship and going off is in the works by the US. Water transmits much more energy into the hull of the ship causing greater damage.

hi great video indeed I have two question
are there cruise torpedo that travels in an unpredictable trajectory ?
does the availability of these advanced antiship weapons mean that warships are obsolete these days ? i am asking this because i am reading of humble drone speedboats sinking warships
thanks a lot

TL;DR The missles are better unless you're trying to hit a submarine.

Anti-ship missile due to stealth, and also the ability of a missile to climb very high and dive down onto the ship.

I choose both😎
"SMART MISSILE"
(Flying Torpedo with 650+km range & nearly hypersonic speed)

Missile is long range, torpedos short range, 😮 jf.

The Torpedoes can be made With Oxygen fed Torpedoes just like WW2 Japanese type 95 Torpedoes

I wonder why anti-submarine missiles are not mentioned - they can carry a homing torpedo right to the target point. They are larger and more expensive than normal missiles, and carry smaller payloads than torpedoes - but they have the range and speed of missiles, and can target submarines. The released torpedo can't be shot down, unlike missiles when they approach the target.

WW2 what about the German Fritz X and Hs 293? KG 40 sank the Italian battleship Roma in the Med

I wonder how surface ship like suicide drones like we have seen Ukraine use against Russia will play in this. Could they be harder to spot on radar than missiles and harder on sonar than torpedos? Can they be made faster than torpedos, maybe with hydrofoil tech? How hard are they to intercept in comparison?

Another British lie. Fulton came to Rijeka, in Croatia and took their design. Took to UK and developed more but first torpedo made, and first torpedo factory was in Croatia.
