okay, okay, okay!!! I heard you and how much you LOVE Afrobeats workouts, so I'm coming to you with a new morning workout to start your day off with nothing but positive vibes.

This workout will boost both your heart rate and your mood, be prepared for a light sweat and a good time.

If any of the exercises or "moves" (like I like to call them) are too challenging for you, slow it down, walk on the spot, or freestyle it! There is no right or wrong especially when we are doing these dance workouts.

I can't wait to see you grooving to these songs and moves in your living room or bedroom!

I am a 53 year old male and I started my weight loss journey in January and at that time I weighted 330 pounds. I started walking and cutting back on my food and my daughters told me about your videos. So my daughters and I started working out to your videos and it has been great thing in my life. At this time I have lost 70 pounds and still going forward to reach my goal of 200. I just wanted to share a little with you and say thank you for your help and all that you do. I did the workout at 530 am. While working out, I realized I have no rhythm, but that didn’t stop me. I kept moving. I’m looking forward to doing this workout again

As a Nigerian this felt more like a dance session than a workout session for me, I did it twice and burnt 200 calories this morning. This will be my go-to morning workout session. Thanks Jo!

I’m a 23 year old mum of 2, and new here. After my last birth it left me with PTSD and post natal depression, I gained 30lbs on top of my baby weight the past year. I found you through tiktok and have been doing your workouts for the last 2 weeks. I can already see a change on the scales and on my pictures, from 2 workouts a day. This was a great workout! My very first one in 2023, and my first in a long, long time.
Back in Jan 2020, I had adopted a new lifestyle and had committed to better sleep, healthier eating and working out 4-5 a week. I had lost some weight, but most importantly,
I felt great, and alive. And then, life threw a curveball at me and I fell into a depressive state. Since September of 2021, I’ve had little motivation to do anything and what I do get done is because it’s an absolute necessity- taking my kids to school, feeding my family, some house chores, work responsibilities. Everything else, including my health was a thing of the past, and I wanted no parts of it. For the past several months I wanted to get up and workout but couldn’t get myself there. I would watch YouTube workout videos - which is how I found you ☺️- to motivate me but my eyes and fingers were the only ones getting the workout 😂 I would even get dressed in workout clothes to get in the spirit but would end up in some corner of my house angry that i let myself go, and sometimes, having my own pity party.
Well, today, I chose me. I walked around in my workout clothes for an hour and tried to find anything and everything to do except workout. This video popped up and heard the Afrobeats and I was sold! (Afrobeats is one of my favs for workouts) I loved, loved the workout. It was quick and did the job. I felt the burn, but most importantly, I remembered how good it feels to workout, and I felt alive!

Today is the beginning of my health lifestyle journey 2.0. Thank you, Jo, for sharing your journey and for your transparency. And thank you for that beautiful smile and energy you share with us all. 💜

I’m proud of all of you who show up for yourselves everyday, even when you don’t want to. Keep going! 💪🏾🙌🏽

About 2 or 3 weeks, I do this workout every morning as a part of my morning routine to empower myself before I start the day.

When I first started learning any workout the first day, I always slow the video down super slow. But this morning, I needed to get out quite quickly, and so I decided to speed up your video to 0.25 faster and oh my God. I was sweating twice as hard, a good burn, and I felt a burn all through my legs and arms and even my core. If you've been doing this workout for a while and want to spice things up, I encourage you to speed up the video by 0.25. I sweated twice as hard in 7 minutes as I had in the original 10 minutes. So good.
