A quick adjustment to prevent hooking on the turn is rudder adjustment, pull it rearward at the bottom so it pushes water up off the rudder and prevents the rear lifting and nose diving when tuning and causing what is essentially over steering.

Kev you gotta mess with the trim tabs on both sides of the prop to get it to stay on the water. If you bend them down just a little it’ll create just enough drag to keep the front end on the water. As far as steering you need to drive it like an RC car and let off the throttle to steer instead of yanking it at full speed.
