I'm not a medical student yet, but I'll be going to med school next year, and watching your video is such a relief, cause my cousins/friends (who are currently studying medical) always say that med school is tough and it's very hard to figure out a study pattern for yourself. Studying medical has always been my dream, but I was a bit worried about the studies, but this video is a motivation for me.
THANK YOU.

For the color technique (the second one) I started using it this year !! I used to highlight everything in that neon yellow highlighter (plus big title in pink) and let my brain do the job of separating/organizing informations. Now what i do is truly try to choose the best color for each chapter (it take more time but it’s totally worth it) for example, in the therapeutic strategy that’s used for prostate cancer, my chapter of hormone therapy was in green BUT : not only 1 type of green, but many shades (3 or 4 different highlighters, the moment I realized not all highlighters have the same shade of green was such a capital moment lol) so how I would use these shades is by highlighting different information according to their importance (the least important would be lighter) or by stack of theme (when it’s usually a very long paragraph where they talk about a variety of subjects for example they start talking about the name of the most used molecules, then how they work, then the sides effects, then what the recent researches are leading to.. each “theme” that I would highlight in a different shade)
This technique helped me soooo much with my visual memory cause as you said colors are easier to recall than words

wowwww the colour technique is my fav. most of my study materials are in pdf format, and after I finish studying them, they look like a colour palette of some sort!! only I can understand and find important information from it!! it definitely takes more time, but totally worth it.

Hello ! It's great I got the same tips as you to help me memorize (I'm a first year), and I feel more "normal", 'cause I thought that most people were so smart that they are able to memorize black and white texts without even organizing that much… (but still I know there are some ppl like this)

I can't believe that I've just come across this video. I'm in my first year of grad school, and honestly thought I'll never be able to memorize large contents of information considering the rate at which my cohorts and I are learning. But seeing these tips is super helpful, and I feel encouraged and motivated to try this out in all of my classes now!

Well, personally, as a fellow medical student, I am using the _method of loci_ as primary mnemo-technique. It's a powerhouse in its own right. As someone with an otherwise average memory, I've gotten to the point where I have built a reputation among study companions as a guy with almost photographic memory.

Here's another technique: actually understanding it.

For some reason almost all your videos motivate me to study. Being a med student myself makes these tips even more relatable. Thanks for the great tips.

I'm currently in nursing school, I'm rotating in different specialties now for my training, I'm planning on doing medicine afterwards, I am very passionate about it, I've worked with doctors numerous times, been involved in consultations, shadowed them and was really drawn to them, I love detail and the sophistication in A&P, I read a lot about health and medications during my spare time (ik it's weird) I really like learning about the world of medicine
I love your videos, very informative they are :)

The rule of opposites and relating real life examples are the ones which I have been using until now and it’s extremely that I came to know about others too which can be really helpful for my pre meds
