That first night is rough with a fresh character; unless you want to cheese it by teleporting to one of the warmer realms right away, I strongly recommend getting a bed and fire down fast - if you die without those you're pretty much caught in a deathloop until dawn.

My first tame on this map was a max lvl unicorn..I saw it as I was getting up while loading into the map, gathered a bunch of berries and started riding it. It took forever and the taming effectiveness went way tf down but I got it after almost half an hour, 8 deaths, and being knocked out by it twice

The barrels can also be good for scrap metal. Not enough to replace a proper mining area obviously but it will help a bit

You make everything so simple and it’s the best. Taming an andrewsarchus is Simple. Unfortunately, the saddles and gear are jot available for thing like the rockdrake or shadowmane.

Thank you for this video, I'm somewhat new but not brand new. Started out on the island and decided I wanted to transfer to fjordur to get some different creatures. I started where you suggested, got the tools and weapons, and even got the andrewsarchus, her name is Betty lol

So i went to that beach and found a dead alpha meglalodon that somehow washed up and had like 7 minutes left on it before it despawned xD i looted it for some pretty sweet loot thanks to having a raft. I guess i got super lucky. Then i went and got myself an andrewsarchus, and i love him. Great video, awesome tips!

The game was hard untill i realised a few pteradons for body retrieval and extra argent or two and a gang of thyla was the way to go for me. But didn't realise how easy it was for andrews. Rip trike x2 parasaur and my big foot. Oh also fell off cliff running away from an alpha on my dire bear ;(

You can skip getting an andrew and ptera by teleporting to asgard north west, the area has predators but it is very open so you can avoid them easily. This area has maewings and sometimes ovis to make the taming process more simple.

I keep spawning at the edge of the map and when I try to head to the shipwreck there would be like raptors everywhere I go on my way
