If you just barely beat your previous best time, it’s an easy way to farm for Large Zonai Charges. Just save before each attempt and barely beat your previous best.

If you do this first one in under 20 you get a large zonai charge. 18.26 is my best so far with the 1 single piece of skydiving gear.

I got this armor today, and I agree with the trial thing it is more fun when you dive faster. The one for the glide mask I plopped right on the third or fourth ring's platform. Couldn't help but laugh when I did that

Quick tip, If you go to the island with a pool of water that you land in after the dive ceremony you can simply talk to the construct and it will teleport you to the top instead of flying the machine.

On the first one if you fail getting the shrine the Stewart construct gives you a test trial which will get you the shrine and the test doesn’t require anything
