This meditation seems to arrive this morning, just 1/2 hour ago, at a very good time! I awoke this morning thinking and feeling that making a friend out of an enemy is a wonderful thing to do! I actually could visualize the look of surprise, and then the smile, of this South American "enemy" who was so relieved to become a friend. I myself was feeling so good and so relieved myself; These meditations have taught me not to try to place my thinking on the experience as an explanation of what I feel. I am very thankful to DTM and the Magic of the Mind. ADB, MD

I found today that the basic feeling of confusion was at the root of my anxiety. My mind will normally wander when I lose concentration of the present moment. To my great satisfaction during this meditation, when asked to let me feel my sensations of anxiety this tome I felt the confusion of my mind and I was able to observe it without the discomfort of anxiety and easily returned to my breath. I hope I can return to this meditation, and others, that will continue to lead me down the road to calm and equanimity while meeting the challenges of life! So far, DTM has been most helpful. Today, this morning, this meditation was very challenging to me, in the sense that my tense muscles in my lower jaw, back of neck and top and back of both shoulders was causing a lot of discomfort and pain. I met the challenge by telling myself that I was strong and did not give up the struggle. If I listen to what you say, and wish for all the affirmations you speak of in your gentle way, it would be more than amazing at my age. But it really doesn't matter. I've lived a long life, I have a son and a daughter, both healthy, independant and many of the good qualities one would hope for. And a wife with me now for over 60+ years and a grand-daughter going next month for her 8th birthday. And not to forget, your meditations and daily presence which means so much to me and I believe to others.

Had an amazing and wonderful meditation practice today; instead of the usual tension I feel in the chest with worry, nervousness, or anxiety, during todays meditation I only felt tension in my lower jaw muscles, which is far more easily tolerable than in the chest! You and DTM are once again delivering the goods! Thank you so much! ADB, MD

May I suggest a question one can ask oneself? Am I safe, or am I in real danger! And then let go in a gentle way of your thinking and return your awareness to your breath, your home base for calm and equanimity.
