When I first watched the movie I was hoping for Mighty Wings at the end

Mighty wings should have been in the movie, would have been far more fitting for the movie’s ending.

This not only fits way better than the basic orchestral action soundtrack that was originally there, it fits better lore wise too, since this scene contains the same cobra manoeuvre that Maverick pulled in the original to the same tune.

I don't know. On the one hand I think this song would have been more suitable during the training montage, but on the other hand, Won't Get Fooled Again also fits perfectly to the training montage...
