When is the last time you did a full push-up? How long do you think it'll take you to build up to it?

I have *never* been able to do a real pushup in my life. Thank you for these adaptations, especially the one combining knee pushups with full pushups! I think that will really help me! Doing a full pushup is on my bucket list. (80yo woman -- No laughing!)

Good point. I'm 71 and a couple years ago found out I couldn't get up off the floor from a sitting position. I had to bring myself back to a simple fitness program - I use the 5bx, but of course there are many. I still have to force myself to start, every time, but I also now lift weights using the basic Stronglifts program. I won't lie, it is a thing I force myself to, every damn time. If I don't, my muscles waste and old problems from a life working at construction come back. I only recently overcame a rotor cuff injury. I know I can't stop it, but maybe I can slow down the slide. I do about a dozen push-ups, always sort of favoring one shoulder. Not the best, but it gets it done...the hardest thing is to shut up my mind and just do.

I’ll be 70 next year. I’ve always been in good strong lean condition. But… I have allowed myself to get out of shape after discovering both knees are stage 2–4 osteoarthritis. I Became fearful after two burst bakers cysts. These two simple exercises you have demonstrated take 15 minutes. I can do 15 minutes every other day. I would also love to see two key strength building exercises for the lower body. Thank you so much!❤

Thanks for this important reminder. I used to do wall pushups then went to counter pushups before Covid and stopped. Now I’m beginning again because of your encouragement.

I have chronic heart disease, so even though I'm just hitting middle age, low intensity functional training "for seniors" is exactly what I need. I appreciate your channel for helping out all of us who aren't young or already in shape, in a respectful way. cheers!

I love your videos! They are so helpful for us older people who need to get back into shape, but are too afraid to go to a gym.

I would like you put together some senior exercises. I have signed up with you. I need hip flex and strength. I’m 75 and have been recovering myself from abdominal surgery. Like your style of teaching.

I'm in my 60s and I do 1-3 min planks, mountain climbers, bar pull-ups... regularly.

Wall push-ups (or outs) are a good way to segway into regular push-ups...

Young Fude, gas powered lawnmowers absolutely do still exist (new in stores)!

Hello, I’ve been watching a lot of your videos! I had a hip labral tear that after 2 years of pain, I had surgery for. He ended up doing more than a repair. Did a osteocondroplasty and capsule repair as well. There’s such an imbalance between the right and left sides though. I’ve gone to multiple physical therapists. Now I’m watching a lot of your videos. I think it is helping. Hopefully I can get both sides even and strong

Always think 'what could go wrong ' and what happens if it does !
When using the chairs for push ups, it's a long way down - face first.. If you fail !

If you build it, they will come. Love your channel. I have dumbbells that are wrapped in some kind of cushy material, really helps with grip; some are just metal, and you may want to use padded gloves with them. Have an awesome week.

I passed the senior line awhile back without noticing. But then I spent another 3 years traversing the cancer crap. I think I need a more specific path out of the chemo side effects of muscle weakness and balance issues. 🤪
