As a Catholic myself I hate how some people think divorce itself is always bad, it’s not always bad it depends on the situation. If you’re in a relationship that is abusive in any way and the relationship doesn’t produce the fruits of the Holy Spirit, and at least one partner who needs help refuses to get any and refuses to change for the better, and the marriage just doesn’t get any better, then I really don’t understand why a divorce in that situation would be bad. I don’t believe in immediate divorce unless there’s sexual immorality or abuse that can turn into deadly abuse if it isn’t already, I believe in trying to stay together and if it never works out no matter what you do then you should divorce.

When your spouse trys to hurt you that is the death did you part. Start living the new life that you deserve to not be a punching bag. Consider it thankful 🙏 and a new fresh start the old you is gone. I personally went through this i didn't realize how awful and disgusting my wife really was until after the divorce process. I couldnt of been that bad because both ex wife's had begged and pleaded for me to stay i felt like a failure at first i took counseling and my counselor said you could have walked for miles on your hands and knees upon broken glass for miles wouldn't of changed a thing and it really sunk into my mind counselor was right
