In this episode:
Jack is on a solo mission to the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia to find the most DEADLY SPIDER ON EARTH. SYDNEY FUNNEL WEB SPIDERS have a bad reputation for being grumpy and are known for their aggressive stance; reared up, fangs raised, venom dripping… Good luck with that Jack!

No one has died from a Sydney Funnel Web bite since the introduction of its anti-venom in 1981. The Australian Reptile Park in NSW runs a Funnel Web collection service to help provide venom to BioCSL who create the anti-venom.

Let me just wear my comfy shorts and short sleeved shirt while searching for the most venomous spider on earth! Oh wait...almost forgot my teeny tiny stick to poke the dirt with in search for potential spider homes!

the fact that he isn't wearing any protective gear, not even gloves, scares me.

There's a reason why Australia is an Island continent.

I'd be wearing kevlar gloves if I was digging around like this guy.

Hunting funnel web spiders isn't the smartest of past time activities.

Sees first image of spider in the video, nervously checks around bed and pillows.

A spider that can live 30 years! That's absolutely amazing.

Again, no leather gloves. Why these experts choose to set a bad example for others on how to handle these spiders just to win some macho points is beyond my understanding. You honestly would impress me more if you wore gloves because I'd know you were smart and secure within yourself and not in need of proving how brave you are.

I have found a funnel web before, scared the hell out of me. Stayed far far away.

And the bloody things absolutely love sitting at the bottom of swimming pools looking dead

Imagine having it in the house and it disappears. I'd move out. 30 years of terror is not good for my mental health.

Northern Tree Funnelweb (Hadronyche Formidabilis) is actually believed to have higher potency and and has a higher envenomation rate than Atrax Robustus (Sydney Funnelweb). Also, female Sydney's have never caused a single envenomation, it's only males which have 6x more concentrated delta-atracotoxin. Still, absolutely formidable spiders that should be treated with respect, but not mindless fear. Awesome video footage

Deadliest spider in the world aside, I sure am glad that I live in a place where I don't have to worry about 'upsetting the ants' lol

When in sydney don't leave your shoes outside at night, especially during the warmer months, these little critters are definitely not fun to play with.

I had a dream today that I got bit by one of these. I saw it in my dream and when I woke up I immediately knew it was a funnel web spider. Now I'm here lol

He doesn't realize how quickly and easily that spider could have bit him.
