All i remember about daddy long legs, is i was camping and i watched one run into the bonfire and burn instantly.

I've actually played with them a lot when I was a kid. From my experience they're pretty friendly. I've never been bit by one before. One of the few spiders I'm not afraid of.

So she says they are myths, but near the end she says scientists have never studied this at all. So basically, this video is pointless. We just want to know the real science and we got nothing here of that.

I was bitten by a daddy long legs....
I didn't think it would bite, as I've handled them my whole life without being bitten.
Then camping, one crawled on my bare foot.
It looked like it was going to do a push up on my foot, and I just watched.
Then, I felt a painful burning feeling.
That daddy long legs died that night, and other than the painful bite, nothing happened but a small bump like a mosquito bite.
So they do bite!!

Ive encountered several daddy long legs when i was in elementary school, they're harmless, held one in my hand as it was crawling on my arm, it tickles as they crawl.They're the very least harmless out of all the spiders.

The nickname "daddy long legs" has been given to several different species of arachnid, harvestmen, and even craneflies. This confuses many people because each species is totally different. What I think of as daddy long legs are "harvestmen" they look like arachnids, but aren't actually spiders. They are not hunters, do not spin webs, and they eat decayed plant matter and are not venomous.

i used to hold these spiders everyday at recess in elementary, they’ve bit me once and it felt like a tiny pinch, but it did no harm.

The reason I looked this up was because it’s 1am, I saw a daddy long legs crawl up my wall....I threw at least 6 different pairs of shoes at it, because I didn’t want to get too close and squish it. My mum yelled at me to go to sleep, but I had only just hit the thing, but not enough to kill it, and then it crawled through the gap in the bottom of my door. I now won’t be able to sleep knowing that their is a creepy-ass arachnid crawling in my house....there is also now a massive pile of shoes on the floor, and I still have school tomorrow.

Yes. I was beliving this myth that this spider cannot bite. So I was touching his belly and he bitted me. It was rather disgusting than pain, which was minimal. But my fear of spiders returned in that day.

I remember hearing something along the lines of, daddy long legs are venomous and dangerous but just not to humans. Spiders and other animals get really sick if they get bit by a daddy long leg spider.
