There's something to be said for playing these tracks from vinyl rather than digital. The few times I've DJ'd I would just assemble a playlist beforehand and let it go. Maybe fiddle with it a little during my set, but not much, so there wasn't much for me to do at the time. Which meant I was either standing around awkwardly or dancing on stage in an ungainly fashion. With vinyl you have stuff to do - switching records, cueing them up, etc - and I like that.
