This is the last episode that we shot before the outbreak. Now, even the thought of having a guest in our house seems strange. But hopefully, these hard times will pass soon. I hope, all of you are keeping safe and staying at home.

Our guest Archive Digital is a DJ and selector specialising in worldwide music, whose aim is to provide an auditory expedition around the globe. In this episode, he's playing some warm and hidden gems from Trinidad and Tobago. I really enjoyed his set, I hope you do too.

This session was recorded on the 1st of March 2020

I grew up in Mt. Hope in the same neighborhood as Shadow and used you hear him sing and play his guitar on occasions. What a character he was, and by coincidence one of my teachers in Mt. Hope Secondary was the Mighty Penguin. So in closing, thanks for triggering the great childhood memories (I really needed this during this intense lockdown). I think I'm going to call my Mom now:).

Bajan here who is proud that he knows all sorts of West Indian music. A couple of these tunes I never hear in my life. I just sit down and listen while sweeping up my pride!!!

I'm amazed it took me 25 minutes to hear a steelpan. As a calypso fan, it never occurred to me that T&T would have a musical identity that didn't involve either pan or calypso singers. A lot of this sounds Indian, but sung in English. Awesome stuff, my dude.

I spent a few weeks in Tobago once. Unfortunately all the music I remember was that years Carnival hits blaring outta every car.
I seem to recall a lot more songs about drinkin' Puncheon (SP) which was my drink of choice on the islands before I quit the sauce..
Its a very nice island.
